Harry Potter’s castle went up in smoke. Firefighters were called to Leavesden Studios in Watford, Hertfordshire on Friday night after a blaze broke out on the set of the new Harry Potter movie.

As the film crew were getting ready to shoot a large battle scene, a special effects pyrotechnic explosion went awry. Firefighters worked for forty minutes to put out a fire that roared through the set of the famous school for wizards. Read more

Harry Potter: The Exhibition is coming to the Ontario Science Centre from April 9 until Aug. 22, 2010.

The exhibit will feature more than 200 costumes, props and artifacts from the movies, displayed in settings inspired by the film. Read more
