Robert Pattinson, known to many as Edward Cullen in Twilight/New Moon, is considered one of the most popular new stars for teenagers.
Robert Thomas Pattinson, born 13 May 1986, is an English actor, model and musician. He is best known for playing Edward Cullen in the film adaptation of Twilight, based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer, and for the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Apparently he won the sexiest man alive award in 2008 and is considered a heartthrob to some. He admits to being awkward and struggling with the attention from being so famous. He recently stated that if he stays at anywhere for more than an hour, it is guaranteed that a mob of fans arrive.
With the new release of the 2nd movie, New Moon, his popularity is probably going to only increase.
